Using the Program Steps Library

The Program Step Library pane, which is available in substantive audit programsClosed The 800 series of forms, whose index number and name are specific for each title. These include AUD-800 Audit Program – (Custom) through AUD-822 Business Combinations., displays all the program steps for a particular industry title. You can build and customize the audit program for each audit area and compliance requirement. When you answer the tailoring questions in each audit program form, Engagement Knowledge Coach uses your answers to determine which program steps are applicable and which program steps are not applicable.

When you open a substantive audit program, the Program Steps Library opens by default. You can also click Program steps Library on the right navigation pane in any substantive audit program form.

The information in this pane includes:

  • The audit area. The audit area displays at the top of the pane.
  • A list of program steps. Click + or - above the list to expand or collapse the entire list of program steps. Click + or - next to a specific program step to expand or collapse just that step.
  • The Assertions column. Assertion badges display for each program step. The badges you might see in this column can include:
    • EO. Existence or Occurrence
    • RO. Rights or Obligations
    • CO. Completeness
    • AV. Accuracy, Valuation, or Allocation
    • CU. Cut Off
    • UC. Understandability or Classification

Assertion definitions change with the clarified version of the title.

Note: If selecting samples can be completed using TeamMate Analytics, a TA badge displays next to the step. Hover the mouse pointer over the TA sign to review the applicable TeamMate Analytics test name.
