CCH Axcess™ AutoCheck Overview

AutoCheck provides industry-specific checklists that can help ensure that you provide all the necessary disclosures when you prepare financial statements. If your firm uses both Engagement Knowledge Coach and AutoCheck, you can add these checklists from within your Engagement Knowledge Coach engagements.

When a disclosure checklist has been added to an engagement, it displays in the forms list in the engagement in a section titled Financial Statement Disclosure Checklist. Clicking the link in that section opens the checklist in AutoCheck.

The AutoCheck application has several features that are similar to those you use in Engagement Knowledge Coach forms, including:

  • Tailoring questions to help you refine the checklist to the needs of the engagement
  • Diagnostics that alert you to potential issues
  • Links to additional guidance (available if your firm subscribes to CCH® Accounting Research Manager)
  • The ability to communicate with team members directly in the checklist using notes
  • The ability for three preparers and three reviewers to sign off on each checklist
