Common Elements in Engagement Knowledge Coach Forms

There are several common elements that you will see in most Engagement Knowledge Coach forms. These include:

  • Introductory material. Most Engagement Knowledge Coach forms begin with introductory material that describes the purpose of the form and related instructions. Read this information to become familiar with the contents of the form.
  • Form navigation links. The following links can help you quickly navigate through a form:
    • Beginning of Form link. Once you are comfortable with the introductory material, click this link at the top of the form to skip the purpose and instructions section.
    • Purpose and Instructions link. Click this link if you want to revisit the introductory material.
    • Next Steps link. This link returns you to the Next Steps section of the instructions so you can decide where to go next with your work.
  • Related form links. Engagement Knowledge Coach forms often contain links to other forms that are related to the audit material you are working with. When you click these links, if the related form is already in your engagement, the form opens. If the related form is not in the engagement, you can insert it by clicking Yes when you are prompted to add the form. Then, on the Add KC Forms page, click Finish.
  • Tips icon . This icon indicates that there is additional guidance available for that portion of the form. Click the icon to display the Knowledge Coach Tips Pane. See Using the Tips Pane for more information.
  • Tables. Most of the interactive information you’ll work with in Engagement Knowledge Coach is provided in tables. See Working in Tables for more information.
  • Diagnostics. Diagnostics are system checks that are built into forms to ensure that your audit is complete and accurate. They can also provide guidance for performing the audit. Diagnostics display as red text in the form cells where potential issues exist. As you update a form, the diagnostics update dynamically to reflect the new information.
